I have a little sand pail that I got at the dollar store (never been used but for water changes) put new water in there add conditioner dump in tank until tank is full put betta that is still in the cup in the water to float around and get the temperature right and turn my filter on. That way the water is moving and circulating before Dumbledore goes in. As for Fishie's tank it's only a 1 gallon so I premix water in gallon jugs and shake them.
