Filter too strong?

Hello. How do I know if my filter is too strong for my Betta? Or if the flow into the water is too strong for him? Thank you.

That depends on the size of your tank and type of filter. Also is the filter current pushing him around the tank or pulling him close and sucking him into the filter?

Hi. It is a 3 gallon tank with a whisper 1-3 gal. filter. I haven't noticed him getting sucked into the filter. He seems to swim around the tank alot no problem. Just worried I guess. I don't want him to be uncomfortable. Sometimes he seems to like to hang around near the top of the filter at the back of it. But that's not near where it sucks in the water.
