I am interested in using a sand sub-straight in me new tank, particularly the black Tahitian moon sand, I hear its easier to clean but may take up to 3 months to settle and be safe for the fish?

Hi! Not sure about the tahitan moon sand, but I did use the caribsea black sand... This one: ...I just rinsed it very well and it didn't need to settle AT soon as I put it in my tank, the water was clear...(my other sand takes a day or two to settle but this one settles immediately) ...looks very nice, too, IMO.
