Alternative Filter Baffle (sort of)

So my tank won't allow for a baffle, plus I have an inkling that my man, Sprinkles, would be all over that. So I stuck a coffee filter in it. It's a Marina 125 filter so it flows out the top into a rather strong waterfall. This appears to have slowed it enough that he doesn't get pushed to the bottom and then get surprised by the intake. I'm really hoping it works... I'm super paranoid about it too. /sigh/

ive tried using a filter inside of mine...i seen a post just using a water bottle with the ends cut off and stretched over the back.but if it slows the current thats what matters :)
