Romad: You have an AWESOME point. And the sad thing is, at least to me, proper betta care IS SOOOO easy. And if the pet stores had say, 5 extra 10 gal tanks they could house 20 betta sectioned off (Though I like two to ten tops at home) in MUCH, MUCH better conditions, and they'd LIVE and make them money, while not dying of fin rot and nitrates and UGH it's just sickening.
I also love starting small because I want my betta to have that extra room, and be able to devote to each and every fish I have. I want to stay small scale relatively, because I love them and want to know EACH one. : D
And thanks to all for warm fuzzy welcomes and letting me know it's okay to ask questions! Especially since I believe being new at something, it's silly (to say it nicely lol!) not to ask others who have had experience, especially when little fishie lives hang in the balance! ^_^
