With the brine shrimp, I would break off a little chunk for the betta to see if he likes it. If he doesn't eat it, the tetras would happily clean up.

Make sure to break it up into little chunks and drop it directly on top of the betta.

As long as betta gets one or two bites, that's good enough.

I went to Petco and there was one strip of micrograss, so I broke it up. I'm getting growth, and it seems like it may be spreading a little. You'll see that my leaves on the plants aren't very fat yet, to my knowledge its because they grow long, then wide. They have plenty of space, so they're going to be very long. I have 3 amazonian swords, 3 microswords, and one moss ball.

My filter is an AquaTech 20-40. It suits the Betta fine, he can hang out by the intake and not get swept up.

Ghost shrimp are damn hard to spot from far away. My buddy use to have about 20 in a tank. From afar I just thought it was an empty tank haha.
