What is the fastest way to kill Black Beard Algae

I bought some plants that have black beard algae (my plant choices are very limited where I am at, so had to grab them). What is the best way to get rid of this without having to buy any special products (it would be hard to find those here)?

I currently have the plants in a bucket. Can I add the plants into my new tank, or should I just leave them in the bucket until the bba is gone?

Thanks in advance!

I try to avoid adding anything to the tank other than water conditioner and fertilizer. I believe I've read of people using a syringe and squirting Seachem Excel directly on BBA to get rid of it. Personally, I just went out and got some amano shrimp and they took care it. Not sure if ghost shrimp would too.. my ghost shrimp were eaten by my gourami so I didn't have a chance to see lol.
