i was able to get some pictures today, theyre not great because shes sticking to the bottom.

(dont mind the stuff on the side of the tank, its just stuff on the outside that wont come off)

shes definitely less clamped today, but she still wont get off the bottom of the tank and she wouldnt eat this morning.

The stuff on the outside of the glass is EASY to remove.

If you have a glass tank, get a razor blade and shave off the stuff.

Don't use the razor if you have a acrylic tank.

Your girl looks really plump compared to mine.

I wouldn't worry if she doesn't eat for a day or two. Looks like she got plenty of reserves for at least 10 days.

Is she missing any WHOLE fins?

yeah i kind of had an incident the other day, one of the hooks on the breeder net in my tank broke leaving 1 left, so its very easy to knock off. so i knocked it off 1 night freaked out because my baby mollies got out then accidentally spilled like half the thing of betta pellets i was holding. so i took everyone out and got all the pellets out before anybody could eat too many. but im fasting them now but i just tried to put a pellet on the water to see if she would come up. but no shes not missing any whole fins and her injuries arent even that bad.

You have one of those cheap aluminum hooked plastic mesh breeding chambers?

I think I may have the same one, but I don't use it because it's horribly flimsy

This is what my most beat up girl looks like. This is AFTER I removed her from the main tank to treat some minor injuries.

It's the same betta in all the photos.

yeah mines some 3 dollar plastic box with a net stretched over it. but it worked better than my other breeder box (the fish sucked the babies out of the holes in the bottom) so im not complaining too much! and yeah her injuries arent nearly that bad, just a few bites taken out of her tail and her dorsal fin. but shes being a baby about it i guess because i have another girl with a few similar bites and shes doing just fine. but im soaking my other breeder box in hot water to get it ready to put her in.

My 5 gallon stays at 82/84 without a heater during the summer, she should be plenty warm in your hospital tank.

well my house is extremely cold (thanks mom) so the water is often low 70s without a heater. but ive closed off all the vents and opened a window to see if i can warm it up enough in there.

The lowest temperature tank is 78 degrees. The others are in the 80-83s

That reminds me. I think it's time to move the rosy barbs back to their BIG BOY tank. My baby guppies were probably eaten by them.

Maybe get a goose neck lamp
shining over the tank for a little
warmth during the day?
Or maybe put a heating pad
around the tank? Heck, if your
Mom has the bucks to keep your
house that cold she can spot you
a ten for a bottom of the bowl heater
