Random Question about Water Conditioner

I use Spring/Distilled water for my tank and always add water conditioner. Today in the store I picked up what turned out to be Aqueon Betta Renewal. I didn't see this until I was refilling the tank. I put the little bit of w/c I had left in and the recommended dosage of the betta renewal. Am I going to need to put water conditioner in before I can put Sprinkles back?

I'm confused as to what happened, I dont understand. lol.

Spring water is not healthy for your betta. Use water conditioner in your tap water instead.

Why is spring water bad for the fish? My tap water is highly variable and I refuse to use it for most things.
I have used TopFin Water Conditioner for the past 2 weeks and ran out. I picked up more conditioner today and I didn't read it thoroughly and it turned out to be 'Betta Renewal'. I have no conditioner left, so all I'm asking is if I can safely put the fish back in the water if there is no conditioner. Sorry for the confusion.

Spring and Distilled miss out minerals Bettas need to be healthy. Tap water has it. Aqueon Betta Renewal is a conditioner. It should say so at the back.

Your fish has the same name as mine! Off topic, but still...lol

and as lebron said, it should be a conditioner.

Okay, excellent. I'll put him in when the water warms up again. He's in his old tank now and not too pleased
