How many mosquito larvae would you feed a betta? I caught 500+ of the larger ones

I gave them each about 20-30 each. Their bellies are HUGE now & they're not getting another meal till tomorrow evening or so.

I have 10 bettas. 9 females & 1 male.

Gave 12 to guppies, but they didn't seem to care.

The remaining 200 were just dumped into the the Tetras & Barb tank. I didn't feel like freezing them and I haven't really the tetras/barbs anyway.

I didn't use the brine shrimp net or I would have caught 2000.

I purposely used the standard fish net because I want to catch the ones that are about to go through their final metamorphosis.

I feed about 2-3 full-grown mosquitoes in the morning and maybe about 5-10 larvae as a "snack" in the late afternoon. For my white clouds, I just rub my finger around the larvae container and dump it into the tank. Weather has been very cold lately so not alot of larvae.

I'm jealous! No mozzies here, too cold yet as winter's still on us. Can't wait for tons of live food (that isn't icky worms..) and for free, to boot!

Shouldn't I be concerned about parasites or something?

These things don't like CLEAN water.

The garden cart has plants which might have fertilizers and so on in there.

That's my biggest concern.

But I've already fed all these blood sucking larvaes to my fish.

When I don't have to water my potted plants I just drop them in the garden cart and the water soaks into the pot after an hour or so.

Mosquito's have been laying eggs in the water and last time I looked there should over 3000.

The larvae seem to double in size every day or so.
