Well duckweed is perfect for breeding since male will be more likely to build a nest and especially under live plants. Thus I won't have to use the styro cup for the male's bubblenesting when breeding.

Okay...PM me when you ship it tomorrow:) so I can send the payment.

Im pretty sure shipping is less than $1. :) if you want it to grow reallly fast, just put it in a small bowl and some potting soil down the bottom. or just feed it some pure ammonia :3

I have a 2.5 gal and a fish that loves to hang out in the leaves of her fake plants, so this sounds like it would be perfect! Is 2.5gal too small for duckweed? And would it allow me to make less frequent water changes?
If the answer is yes, sign me up for some!!!

I might start doing super small starter portions oO.....

How many people are willing to take a couple of leaves and grow them out themselves...?

Just a note, tanks with a string current will hinder duckweed growth somewhat.

I would recommend people take a separate container, fill with old tank water, plop a snail in, place duckweed in, feed snail every day.... you'll have a lot by the end of a week.

@ madamedesu - Duckweed is tiny, smaller than the smallest grain of rice

I would take some to try and grow out if I get some good advice on how to do it.
Who can resist the price?! Lol

If your LFS has some, they would probably give you it all for free :D

I'll check it out next time I go ... I can't drive, so I'm at my parents mercy and the LFS is kind of far away. I just wanna go there and look around at everything. It's a non-chain store and they take good care of their fish, so I trust them. I wanna work there.
I think the point I'm making is that I just want to drive there all the time, but can't lol
