Newbie from Ohio

Hello everyone, I've been lurking around for a few weeks now and finally decided to "pull the trigger" and register. I use to keep fish over ten years ago. Recently the Betta-Bug bit me once again and I started looking around on-line and found this cozy little forum. I bought my Betta yesterday at Petsmart, he is a Dragon Scale named Peaches. I know I know not a very macho name for a fighting fish but my girlfriend called him that as soon as she saw him. His is currently happy and swimming in a football size and shape glass vase.

He is very pretty love his color ! Does his home have a cover because Bettas can jump and do right out of their tank. Welcome to the forum you can find and ask any questions you have on the proper care of Betta. They also need warm water at least 78 degrees. Best of wishes for you and your lovely Peaches !

Hello and welcome to the forum Peaches is a real beauty.

You'll def. need a heater once the weather gets colder. Check out Aqueon mini-bow tanks - I've got 6 of them and you can put a 25w submersible in there with no problem.

Welcome! That betta is gorgeous. The name Peaches is one he should wear with pride, I mean it would take a very masculine man to have that name It's great to see another Ohioan! I'm from Delaware, Ohio Can't wait to see more pictures of him (you're eventually going to post more, I can guarantee that!)
