Larry's Photo shoot! :)

Hi there guys, I've taken some new photo's of Larry... enjoy!!!

Also, I fed him yesterday, and just after he ate (I'm trying to feed him every second day) but after he finished eating, he seemed a bit bloated, not sure if you can tell in the photo's but this was taken last night, just after he ate... I hope he'll be okay... I look forward to hearing your opinions!

Is there a reason you only feed him every 2 days instead of every day?

I've heard that you could overfeed them if its everyday, but PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong???

what brand of food do you feed? You can feed twice a day in moderation and don't feed for one day out of the week.

I know someone who feeds once every 2 days. Betta lived at least 3-4 years. Wanted to swap food with him, but found out his betta eats flakes which I don't like to clean up after, so I'll be looking for another responsible owner.

Its just the flakes... Betta flakes or something like that, I actually threw the container out, put it in a sealed container of mine, because every time I opened the container the flakes came in they would mess all over the place, because they were all stuck to the lid... so not 100% sure... but its pretty much just the flakes for betta's...

I fed him again now tonight, and his tummy is a bit bloated, but when I got home from work this afternoon, it seemed fine before I fed him... so just keeping an eye on it

Larry reminds me so much of my Blue Crowntail very pretty ! I wouldjust keep and eye on his tummy if you think he might be getting bloated. I use New Life Spectrum Betta Pellets and feed Perseus 3 in the morning and 3 at night 7 days a week and so far that works perfect for him no bloating.

Your best bet is to buy pellets. Flakes are harder to portion out, where as pellets are obviously easy to portion. Therefore, you're more likely to make your betta bloate with flakes.

I reccomend new life spectrum pellets, omega one second best. I feed Teeney 4 NLS pellets in the morning & 4 omega one at night. She gets a frozen blood worm 1 x a week and I fast her on sundays.
