10 gal Tank cleaning

We just got a 10 gal used Tank and I am wondering what the best way to go about cleaning it would be.

I would post this in the betta fish bowls, habitats, and accessories section of the site. I sadly don't own a 10g so I'm unsure myself about water changes, but I'm sure you'd get good replies in the habitats section of the site :3
To clean it before stocking though, just rinse it in hot water. No soap!

Hope you have fun with your new tank :D

Do you mean clean to set up or clean as in water changes?

Well we just got it so cleaning it before using it. With it being a used tank, I have no clue what has been in it before.

If you really feel like you want to get it super clean, you can use a Vinegar/Water mixture.....I think its 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water, but I'm not entirely positive since I've never done this myself(Anyone?). Just rinse it really, really, really, REALLY well...and then rinse again and let it dry.

Though if you feel like just hot water would be enough, then you could just rinse everything super well with hot water a few times.

Careful with the vinegar, it likes to eat away at the tank seal.
Since you have no clue what happened in that tank before, personally I would use bleach & warm water. Be sure to rinse it very well & let dry out in the sun.

Usually I don't reccomend bleach but certain things(I think fish TB) will not be killed by vinegar.

Fish TB isn't killed by bleach either.
