Ghost Shrimp - 5g

I have a 5g cycled tank. Have a single black mystery snail and just recently put 5 ghost shrimp inside.

It seems like I can fit a few more but the last thing I want to do is spoil this tank I have worked so hard to "perfect".

Any advice on how many ghost shrimp a well kept 5g with one Betta and one black mystery snail can hold?

Thanks in advance!

Ghost shrimp have a very low bio-load, the only ones in your tank that are really effecting the load would be the snail (which has a very high bio-load) and the betta. I'd only add 2-3 more, because any more and you'll be pushing the limits on ghosties. You don't want to have too many or else it won't be the bio-load issue but space.

I hope that helps!

Can 3 - 5 ghost shrimp thrive in a 3.5 tank or is it best to just leave that tank alone with the betta?

3-5 Ghost shrimp can fit into a 3.5g tank with a betta. The only issue I could see occuring is that the betta may get territorial on them because there is less space to call his own. Or he might just want a snack. You could heavily plant the tank to help a little with it!
