Betta trying to smash his face?

My betta keeps on swiming full speed into the walls of my tank over and over again. I tried putting fake plants there to keep him from doing it but he won't stop. Any suggestions?

Hmmm...... maybe he is trying to see where the walls are? How long have you had this betta?

I have had him for about 3 months. He started acting weird a few days ago. I have heard about epsom salts and how good they are for bettas. Should I add some to make sure he doesn't bruise himself?

Oh wow that is really strange.... yeah I might if I were you. I would read up on betta sickness and stuff, I think there is a category on this forum for that where you can also post this question.

Sorry, wish I could help more :( I've just never heard of that

He's probably seeing his reflection. Keep doing what you're doing and that's a little bit normal. Only use salts if your fish is sick. Don't use it when you feel like it besides sickness.

Wouldn't you think he would figure it out after a few days? I don't think what he's doing is healthy. He just started it a few days ago. I guess he just noticed himself? What if it causes like... a concussion?

No, he's fine. Bettas don't get concussions. If you think he's going too far, surround the perimeter with decorations. Lol You decide.
