fry seem to be missing???

Good Morning all,

OK here is my first question of the day!

I checked the breeding tank this morning and the male was swimming around the whole tank, not ignoring the nest but almost. I checked the nest and found maybe 10 fry that where horizontal but not swimming.

I looked through the rest of the tank closely, as best I could with my glasses on but only found 1 more fry close to the sponge filter which is still off.

Also most of the bubble nest is gone except for the edges, I removed the male who was completely disinterested in the whole affair and put him in his recovery container, I offered him some pellets but he did not eat.

Is it possible that he may have eaten most of the fry or are they just hiding where I can not see them???
