Exclamation Spare filter and heater needed
Grandma got my daughter a red VT boy named Gordito. Gordito is currently in a 0.5 g bowl and will be upgraded to a 2.5 g tank, not kit. I have searched on Amazon for a small filter and a small heater but since they have issues shipping to Puerto Rico, and when they do the shipping charges are more than the item itself, I am appealing to you, fellow forum members, and your kind nature. Do any of you have a spare filter and a spare heater that you can part with, suitable for a 1 to 3 g tank. Please please please let me know. An aside, USPS postage rates are the same to PR as they are to the rest of the US. We are not international.

Have you already got the tank? I might have an extra 25w heater which will be good up to 3 gallons but I'll have to check over the weekend.

Just checking on the size but now that I re-read your first post, it seems like you are pretty clear that it's 2.5 gallons so 25w will be perfect.

What is the temperature like in PR? I do not use heater in Vietnam it is average temp around 85F

I've been in PR climate, (family is originally from there) I would assume that unless you plan on keeping him in a air conditioned room that you wouldn't need a heater. Temperatures in PR are perfect for tropical fish, boy I would love to be there, breeding season all year round for the bettas! :)

Yes but he's in my daughter's and she has her A/C on at night due to asthma and allergies so he does need it. @bettasusa plus you could get all the IALs and banana leaves you wanted
