Okay so, I add Aquarium salt in a 1/2 gallon that doesn't have a heater or filter & then the next day I do a 100% water change then add aquarium salt? Then the day after that do 100% water change then add aquarium salt and repeat for 10 days?

Correct. So you'll want about 1/4 teaspoon (NOT tablespoon) with every water change. Keep it up for 10 days, then don't add salt with your water changes for at least a few days (a week if you can).

Okay I put some Aquarium salt in, so wait 24 hours then a water change then add it again for 10 days okay, he looks a little bit better when I added it in he is more curious and swimming around a lot.

That's good to hear :) it doesn't have to be 24 hours on the dot, just make sure you do it every day. If you can get pictures now, and then every day before or after you do water changes, it might help me and any others watching this thread keep an eye on progress. Pictures speak 1,000 words.

yea i agree and i want him to get better as my betta did not. i wish i had got the aquarium salt... however he had sbd too so may have died anyway.

Well, if you had used AQ salt, it wouldn't have made a difference. For SBD, only Epsom salt would have made a difference (excluding medications).

yes i know.... i used medicines grrr poor guy hed been sick a long time and i didn't know it.

It happens :( I lost two boys within a few days of buying them. One I knew was sick - had either a severely inflamed gill, or a damaged gill cover. The other, well... he seemed fine when I bought him, but he died faster than the already sick one. Fungal issue that hit him fast, and hit him hard. So far, my other 4 are doing well (other than a little fin rot or tail biting on my CT)
