My main concern is the spots he has near the mouth. It seems some kind of fungus.

Not sure if i was seeing tiny white flecks or if it was just dust on the camera? Do you see any tiny flecks on your fish? I don't see the spots around the mouth area. I see the white scales but i don't see the spots.

Sorry he's not doing well. He might have swim bladder disorder. I'm not an expert, though. Is his spine curved like that all the time?

Your fish has been having issues since August? Sadly, sometimes sick fish reach a point of no return...sorry it is just a sad fact of life. Just adding from looking at the pics, the white looks to be just the normal scale coloration. Just a guess, but from the pics of both of the fish, it sure looks like a combo of shipping stress and ammonia/nitrite poisoning...perhaps you might like to read the stickies about the nitrogen cycle that are at the top of the main pages.

This upside down problem started about 3 weeks.
