I found this pretty boy at Petsmart yesterday. I think he's a super black doubletail? I just thought his color was so awesome. He wasn't with the other bettas. One of the people in the fish department had put him near where they bag the fish so she could get a better look at him because she thought he was cool. When I saw him there I thought for sure he was on hold for someone, but when I asked she said he wasn't on hold and I was free to buy him if I liked. :)
Now he's the king of a 10 gallon tank with three caves, seven large fake plants and a floating betta log. At first he was pretty skittish, since he's not used to such a big space. But I think he's starting to settle in.
The pics aren't the best, though, because I was using my phone and he's a bit camera shy. And there's nothing wrong with his eyes, the flash from the camera just made them look odd.
