Stupid betta owner not knowing the signs of fin rot

Housing
What size is your tank? upgraded him to a 2.5 QT but was in a gallon
What temperature is your tank? app, 76 degrees
Does your tank have a filter? No
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No
Is your tank heated? yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? Nothing

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Aqueon betta pellets
How often do you feed your betta fish? 2 times a day

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? once a week
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 100%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Stress coat plus

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? blackish points on tail
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? lethergic and not swimming
When did you start noticing the symptoms? about half an hour ago
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? stress coat and AQS
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Just tail biting
How old is your fish (approximately)? about a year old

He isn't looking to good and I am thinking that if he doesn't improve tomorrow, I will euthanize him

He is barely moving and he looks like he is on his last leg. I am an idiot for not realizing he had it

Have you tried to treat him for the fin rot ???? All you need is AQ salt and clean fresh conditioned water change everyday. Its easy to treat and many start to looking better in only a few days. Why would you rush to such a decision so soon ?

I just put him in the 2.5 gallon with AQS and stress coat. He isn't doing anything except laying on the bottom breathing hard

Pictures? Try upping the temp to 80 and adding aq salt if you can sounds like fin rot maybe ....
Edit sorry just noted aq salt :)

Definatly looks like it could be.... a higher temp might help him perk up overall but can also speed up fin rot whats the dose of aq salt your using
