Should I get this Betta??

Hey!
So I am looking to add a new Betta to my family. I have a 3 gallon, planted tank that is fully cycled just waiting for a new Betta I decided to check on Kijiji and see if there are any Betta's near me that need a new home! I found this guy, about 30mins away from me and a friend of mine offered to take me.

Should I get him? What do you think his tail type is? And does he look sick at all...??

He's very handsome with splendid coloring. He looks pretty healthy to me. As for his type, I would say either plakat or a giant/monster/king betta. Go for it!

Ack, will he be okay in a 3 gallon tank if he's a King?

I'll probably get him.... haha

I had a king in a 3 gallon, albeit it was temporary. He seemed ok, so long as I kept up with water changes (they produce ammonia about as fast as goldfish)

My king is in a 3gal. As long as he has room to swim several body lengths before turning, he'll be all right. You'll know when you see him in person if he's a king or not. Most likely, he's just a very gorgeous plakat, in which case a 3gal will be just perfect.

Is he a king betta? Since they are larger, at least a 5 gallon tank is recommended for kings.

But he looks great! As long as he's active, I would say he looks pretty healthy! I would get him! :)
