Hello everyone, I have kept bettas in the past but have steered away from bettas until recently when I picked up myself a crowntail betta. I call him shadow. He lives in my community tank with some neon tetras, black phantom tetras, a couple sae and plecos. he has been in the tank for 2 weeks now and seems to have adjusted quite well to his surroundings. Once in a while he will puff up and state is territory but it has not come to fin nipping yet.
(cross fingers) Its a planted tank so he has lots of nooks and crannies to explore. He mostly stays in and around the floating plants.
