Question New tank..

Today my younger sister got me another fish tank, I now have 3 she got me a "Wonder Water 3 gallon aquarium" it has a light, filter and few decorations I didn't use them due to the fact that they were plastic and sharp, also bought some gravel. I put gravel in a container and then I put water in it and swished it for 3 - 5 seconds, then I emptied out the water from the gravel and then poured the gravel in I repeated until it was enough to cover the tank, I bought my own decorations and put them in. I had problems with the filter because I was constantly moving it around and then the suction cups kept coming out I had to keep pushing them in with a lot of force. So I got the tank set up, bubbles coming up from the tank. BUT the tank is a little bit cloudy/foggy type, how can I have the water crystal clear? And does this effect fish when putting them in, I haven't put my fish in yet though. Thanks :)

I like to mention my younger sister who is about 2 1/2 put her hands in the tank, I caught her and told her "Out" to leave, and then when she came out she was rubbing her arms with the water, will this effect new fish?!?!?! And will it dirty the tank?

This is the tank, I bought my own decorations all together they led up to $55.99 dollars, I am not sure if I am putting a female betta in there or a male, DUE to the fact it's a 3g and the plants. The plants don't hurt though..

i would do a 100% water change because she could have had lotion or soap residue or something on her hands, i always rinse my gravel until its completely clear, which is usually about 20 to 25 complete rinses. doing that a few more times will probably clear it up. regardless of what kind of betta you put in there you NEED to baffle that filter, its way too strong, and dont forget a heater and water conditioner! and it dosent matter if you put a female or male betta in there, just make sure you only put one :)

I already cleaned it two times, this was my second time and then I allowed one day so it could run a little bit. But I used the conditoner it gave me and poured it all in, it came with a bottle [not actually a bottle like a fake bottle package] and I poured it all in thinking that's all I need, if I use Nutrafin Aqua plus I don't know how much to put in for a 3 gallon + I would have to restart it and go through cloudyness again.

If you notice in the picture I have a little floating whale, I can turn the filter down but that little whale only gets pulled in the middle when it's not swimming, I will probably see if my betta can handle it when I introduce if he cannot then I am moving him, turning it down and then introducing him back in the tank.

it should. Generally when you've set up a new tank it gets cloudy right away. Then after a few days it "cycles" and becomes clear (even though cycling a tank under 5 gallons is really hard, its like a mini cycle). If its not clear in two days then maybe think about trying a deep clean on the tank, decorations and gravel

if there was soap the filter would need a new cartridge. Soap is a killer for everything in the tank; including filter cartridges.
