I feel so guilty...sigh

As I went to do my 50% changes for my two guys in the 1g bowls, I decided not to move my newest guy out, so I wouldn't freak him by cupping/netting him. Well, what an idiot I feel like now. He so freaked anyway by the vacuum that when I was done I noticed a couple of "chips" out of his tail..sigh. I'm not really sure how it even happened, but he had such a perfect tail...dang..next time he gets removed anyway. I hate learning by mistakes when it comes to living creatures...

OH NO CJ! I'm so sorry...that stinks! I feel horrible about Bandit's finns...sigh. I hate to live and learn when it comes to my bettas don't you? I just have to remind myself that I've done it with my human children too...made mistakes with the first one while learning I mean. Again, I'm so sorry that happened to you! Hugs

so true... it happened when i was taking their dad out of the tank, i scooped up a bunch of babies and i didnt notice until after i had poured half the jar of water down the drain :/ i know what you mean, its things you need to learn but you never want to learn it from messing up with the things you love

CJ, I know you're breeding, but why don't you use a siphon into a empty water cooler bottle? You just dump the water directly down the drain?

cute! and i do use a siphon with an airstone on the end for my water changes, no way any fry can get through there. but what happened was i just stuck a jar in the tank and scooped up dad in it, and i was stupid enough to not check to make sure i didnt get any fry before i dumped out some of the extra water in the jar -_-
