Arrow food help

how many pellets should i feed my betta i was told 6 pellets 2 X a day but i feel like thats way too much

Yikes! I hope the person meant a TOTAL of 6 pellets broken down into 2 feedings per day. That still may be a little much depending on the size of the pellet. Some pellets are big enough that you would only need to feed 2 pellets 2x day.

You can assume that your betta's stomach is roughly the size of his eye. I have some pellets that are small enough to feed 6 pellets 2x a day. But I also have some that are most decidedly not. You really have to look and judge for yourself. If you see your betta's belly get really large after you feed him, maybe you should cut back on the pellets.

A little roundness after feeding is fine and normal.. but it depends upon the brand you have and the size of the pellets. For a good quality brand like NLS or Omega One you don't have to feed as many since they will get decent nutrition from them.
