Question Filter friend or foe

i don't know if my fish is fighting with my filter because its strong and keep pulling it in or its just playing around with it ? his swims around then goes by the filter and the pump drags him in by part where the water falls and then his tries to get the filter and he swims out then it happen a few more times then he chills and then he swims around the tank and does it again after a while of resting ??? should i buy a new filter orrrr is he trying to play with his new friend ??? so lost and i would up load a vid but its not letting me ( and i just put my fish in his tank today)

What kind of filter do you have? Also what size tank?

It sounds like the filter flow is too strong for him right now. Before you go and buy a new filter you can try to baffle the one you have so the flow isn't as strong.

My Betta does that sometimes I think your Betta will got used to the filter just keep watching him to see how he is doing. You could baffle it if it seems to be a problem with him. Do a search up at top of the forum where is says search and put in baffle the filter to see how you would do this.

You can actually differentiate. Either way, I recommend to put a sponge over the inflow or the outflow to slow it down. It won't bother the cycle, it actually harbors some BB. ^^ I have a sponge filter and Lebron plays in the bubbles. Lol
