First time flaring

My little apple is getting so big! i decided it was time for another picture post of his growth :D

I showed him one of my hand mirrors also. first time i have ever seen him flare..... it was adorable.

I'm also not sure about his fin type but I'm placing my money on VT.

He looks amazing! He's not a VT. He's actually a DeT. (Delta) He looks so amazing! Great find! :P

You got him as a baby? That's even better! Not much people get their babies to adulthood. He's pretty good for a pet store fish. :)

i think he might be a roundtail, not a DeT.

haha, yeah. i really couldn't pass this little guy up when i first saw him. i really had no idea pet stores sold them so young.

@homegrown terror
I have a super hard time with telling delta, round tail, and young VTs apart! it may be easier when he's older.

Yeah, pet stores shouldn't do that to animals that are so young. As Terror said, he *might* be a Roundtail but I dunno.

It makes me very sad to know that most of these little guys don't make it because they are so young D:
No worries on the tail type, it might be easier to tell once he's had a bit longer to grow, he's still rather young.

he is adorable! And no, like Lebron said, he is a DT, not a VT. Look in my albums and you can see that my betta, Honeyomb, is a VT. :)
