Ive been searching all over the internet and couldn't quite figure it out lol cause they didn't tell me the tail type. You learn something new everyday I will be keeping a very close eye on him.

You have beautiful betta's!
I have one question though, you said that Neptune is a CT. But in the pictures his caudal fin looks a lot like a VT, but his anal and dorsal fin look almost ripped to were it looks like a CT...I'm not an expert so maybe someone can clarify for me as well. ;) Maybe he is a hybrid?

I saw that as well. maybe he just has a full tail fin. the anal fin doesnt look torn, it looks too symetric-ish to be torn.

That's what I was thinking, and he doesn't look like he has fin rot or anything. So I guess he can be a mystery.

Thanks WildFlower. Ill try to get more pics of them.. lol they move around so much its quite difficult to get them to stay still. He had a little bit of his top caudal fin missing but i think its growing back.

When I clicked on the picture I thought he was a VT, but then when I read his name and fin type I was thinking; whoa he really looks like he can be both a CT and VT at the same time! xD But I don't think that's possible.

I'm still not sure what type that counts as....but as long as he is healthy it really doesn't matter!

Hes a hybrid. Not a complete combtail which is the "perfect" mix for a vt and ct...but hes got both genes. Just not to official typing standards. He's neither VT nor CT...Closest name I could give him would be a Combtail... leaning more to CT.
