Bloat? or worse?

Buddha has been bloated for some time now and even after fasting for 4 days, it won't go away.
Under a flash light, his underbelly between his ventrals is turning white. Also, his bloated area is lighter in color.

I need to know what to do to help with this, and is also like to know what's going on. He hasn't pooped it seems in awhile either....

He's had this since before being the new tank so that's not the cause. I want to say parasites but I could be wrong...

It sounds like internal parasites. The general cure for that is 2tsp of unscented epsom salt per gallon. Give it a good few days to start working, and then keep up the treatment for at least 7 days. Don't dose salt over 10 days though, it'll start causing other internal issues.

Okay will do. I'm assuming I need to take him out of the 5 gallon then so Pudge doesn't get the salt too.

IF he has internal parasites you need to get something like metronidazole inside him. If he is not eating you will lose him as he is really too far gone. Bloat can be caused by parasites, kidney failure and mycos [fish tb]. Kinda hard to tell which so makes treatment difficult. When they stop eating they are ususally on the way out.

Oh no he still eats. And I can tell he's hungry because he gets excites when I feed Pudge. I stopped feeding gkm because I noticed thebbloat.

I'm at Walmart now and I'm going to get Epsom salt.

The one I bought doesn't necessarily say there is a scent so should I assume its unscented? There's no mentions of dyes or smells
