Middle Swimmers 20gl

Looking for some pets that stick towards the middle of the tank in a 20gal+ set up.

I actually thought that I had found them with tiger danios but they have decided the top of the tank is where they like to spend their time.

Any thoughts? Have plenty of room.

What about white cloud minnows? They usually go all top to bottom. I own one, I had him for a year and he's very colorful and small.

They don't require a school? I can handle a few more fish but not much.

They do but They seem do well with other different fish like cherry barb and the "bait fish" Minnows aka rosy or gray.

I own a couple of minnows, red rosy "Sea King" and gray minnow "Sea Queen". The red rosy is about 2 years old and the gray one is probably 3 or 4 years old. I saved "him" because I felt bad that "he" was about to be fed to the turtle. I think he's a girl because "he" always have this plumped stomach lol. Now he's great to get along with other fish. I bought white cloud minnows a year ago, I had four but three died but one was alive because it was following the granny gray minnow "Sea Queen" 's ways. He followed her like a puppy and I would find the small minnow cleaning off Sea Oueen's back. (She had a bit of fungi problem but got treated for it.)

I would post a pic of my fish tank if you want to.

I think those little guys would be perfect for a betta with big space.

They can thrive in cold or warm water... that's why they're one the easiest and hardier fish to keep.

I wouldn't recommend the zebra danios, I had bought about a group of them like 6 or more, I'm not sure. They ganged up on my poor 3 or 4 years old Sea Queen. They would "rocket dive" at Sea Queen. She put up the good fight and got a bit of scales right off. I returned them and got my refund. I bought them because I think they're cheaper (likely to be least 1$ to 2$) I will never buy them ever again.

If I put them with my betta, he would be likely will never stand a chance against them.
