Will a Salt Bath help?

Will a salt bath and/or stress drops aid my fish in being able to sink? She cannot stay at the bottom of her bowl, she just floats right back up.

Salt baths areused primarily for external parasites and maladies. It sounds to me as though your fish may have swim bladder problems. A salt bath will not help.

What will help her swim bladder then?

Can you tell us more about your setup?

size?
heated?
filtered?
how often do you feed? what?
how often do you do water changes? how much?
do you test the water? what are the results?

I just bought her the other day and she is in a temporary bowl. She will be living in a 1 gallon tank with a filter.

The water should be around 75 to 80 degrees.

I feed her once a day and I feed her BettaMin Tropical Medley.

I just changed the water and I used spring water and AquaSafe Water Conditioner.

I have not purchased a test kit yet.

I have another Betta living in a 1 gallon tank with a filter, she eats the same food and the water is around the same temperature. I have used the same water and the same conditioner as well. There have been no problems with her, just the newly purchased Betta.

I think I have discovered the problem to her swim bladder. The ride from the store to my home was a rather bumpy one and I think this is the cause. Unless, Wal-Mart overfed her. Other than that, her condition is most likely permanent.
