New halfmoon wont eat.

I recently got a male halfmoon, he is not eating what i give him which is tetrabetta+, i also gave him one pellet of hikari bio gold today to see if he would eat it and he didnt. he is probably just stressed out , but i am not really sure what to do. i dont think he even tried the food, just ignored it. he is currently in a 1 gallon(i know i need a bigger tank) with a marimo. i have a plastic plant that i will put in soon so he has somewhere to hide.

so if anyone has some suggestions about him let me know.

i know that 1 gallon is very small but its the only thing i have for him and my parents will not let me buy a bigger one.

meaty pellets or live food bettas love them.

Just don't feed him, it'll only make a mess in the water. Try again tomorrow, or after tomorrow. He won't starve.

Live food like daphnia which wont die in the tank he will eat them when he is hungry
or do not feed them a few days then he will be hungry.
