Well someone is a little aggressive!

Castiel, my lovely white VT male, apparently does not like invaders. He is in temporary housing until I figure out how NOT to kill plants, and has been doing pretty well. Today I decided to add a few bits of duckweed into his tank, just because.

The little devil went and tore it all up! Now I'm half afraid to put him in a planted tank!

I'm pretty sure this rules out any and all tankmates, except for maybe a snail. I knew he was aggressive when he started stalking/attacking his food, but oh my, the little guy has anger issues.

Some betta's do not do well even with bottom feeders. One of my two betta's is very aggressive and will protect his tank even from me when I go to clean it or move something around. My other betta is calm, cool collected. He has never in his life flared at anything not even his own reflection or anyone.

My new betta seems pretty chill, he's actually REALLY shy... My last betta was really chill, never flared at much except my one finger, because I taught him to flare on command xD But even then he didn't do it often!

Some bettas are just really aggressive I guess!
