That looks, kinda difficult. Why are the store bought ones bad? Do you know and specialty made 5 gals that come with dividers? Like in petco or petsmart?

Ive done it before & it's super easy. I didn't use silicone/glue, I made mine so it fit without being attached to the tank.

Just cut the mesh & slide the report covers on. Easy peesy :)

I don't know anything about store bought ones other than the fact that they suck. Lol

Given proper water changes they should be okay (3 changes per week- 2 50% changes & 1 100% change) I bet they will be so happy with a 5 gal tank! :D
