Bigger is better?

So I clean my tank today and I put a glass bowl to pour the water in the tank to not mess up the gravel, think he misses his small bowl?

I'm sure he loves the new digs! One of my male bettas actually never settled in the 5.5g I had...he was nervous all the time with all the extra space...he is back in his 1g bowl and doing much better. He and one other male I have with 1g are getting moved to 2.5g as soon as I can get them. Funny how different they can be about their environment! Congrats on the upgrade!

Thanks.. He's had the 10 gallon for a bit more than a month now. I left the small bowl in because I'm hoping to get a filter today so waiting to fill it all the way and he's loving going into the small bowl. Thought it was funny.

I'm tempted to keep the bowl in there for him.

IMO bigger is better! I don't buy that they prefer small living quarters but they do LOVE lots of plants & hidey holes.

I'm sure he will settle in soon! Maybe you could keep the whole bowl in the tank fr him, as his little "hideout"? :)-thats what i would doXD
