betta might have dropsy, please help me quick!

Ok so Fhil has been looking lethargic(he is four or five)and hasn't been flarin at a mirror lately, which is odd because he always falres. Today I checked on him and he is pineconing. If he does have dropsy I don't know what to do so help!!!!!!!! Please:( Had him for a whie don't want to lose Fhil:(

I'm so sorry... Internal Breakdowns suck. (AKA Dropsy) There isn't really much you could do. Are you sure he's pineconing? Bloated gray belly? Swollen face? I'm sorry, I don't really know much about Dropsy medications. Just lower the water level to make it easier for him. (Or that's what I told you before) Hopefully another member would tell you a possible medications treatment.

he is definetely pineconing. It got even more pineconed in like five minutes. Not bloated yet. Face does look kind of swollen:(

Maybe some dried oak leave or some IAL?- i have hear they help..ALOT

as for now, cleans water and try to bring his appetite up by soaking his food in garlic juice

^ Yes some antibacterial/fungal properties would help.

should I boil the oak leaf in water and then let the water cool down and put it in? Or do I just put the dry oakleaf in?(lucky me we have an oak tree in our yard)

dont boil. It would release the tannins from the leaf, defeating its purpose for helping dropsy. Lucky you!

correct me if I'm wrong about boiling, Lebron....

Wash it in tap water to rid of pesticides or anything bad. The boiling will release the tannins. Great observe Rainbow! Lol
