Smog - Rescue VT

Hello guys, I have been super busy, but I finally got pictures of my new rescue boy Smog. If you don't know, Smog was originally a co-workers fish. She had him in a tiny bowl, with no heater and no filter. He had some bad fin damage when I got him due to ammonia burns. She was originally supposed to get him a set up at her house and then come and get him from me, yeah, the selfish wench isn't doing that, her hair and booze are more important. So I got him a tank, its only a 1g now as I really wasn't expecting to drop $50-$70 bucks on a new fish. So this is temporary but it is filtered and has a small under tank heater to warm him up a bit. He has been healing, re-growing his fins, and looking better every day. I will try to keep this updated (I am horrible at updating). So I present "Smog"

This shows the regrowth better I think, the red on the Caudal fin is all regrowth, the poor guy looked like a crown tail when I first got him.

if the coworker starts to talk about coming to get him, tell her he died - she doesn't deserve to have a fish

Well, she did. I told her he was my fish now.

Unfortunately she didn't seem the least bit upset.

Thanks everyone, you know I was really kind of upset, because I am not a VT kind of person. But now that he is growing his fins back, he is becoming better looking with every day.

So Smog has been very active today, I think that he is really starting to trust that I am not going to let him fail. I know that sounds ridiculous to some people, but those people never cared about a Betta. The little curls at the ends of the damaged parts of his tail are starting to even out with the rest of the regrowth, which is promising. :)

I'm proud of you for having the courage to rescue smog! :D I love seeing people rescue bettas that would have otherwise died a horrible death, especially since I don't have the resources to do so myself. I can't to see some more pictures of him.

Also, hello fellow Utahn!
