Snail died

My snail chaco died :( he was a good and awsome snail. even though he left i have still kept his shell. But what sucks the miost is that i cant even keep a snail alive for two weeks. and i didnt expect to be this sad. but i miss him with his tentovcles and ees out and zooming around the tank :/ sigh.

But now that he is...passed. Can i begin aq salt treament for my bettas bacterial infection? And can my shrimp agent osmond deal with the salt?

idk about salt and shrimp, ut remember that snails dead bodies smell TERRIBLE, and smell far away. I literally would put it in a ziplock bag (or 2) before throwing it away.

If your betta has an infection, separate him and treat.

Yes you can do that but if you can get at least a small plant for him or a Betta hammock to rest on, nothing sharp that could rip his fins. Do have something you could take out of his tank and put with him ? He would feel much better with something he is used to. Be careful with AQ salt and remember you can only use it to treat for him 10 days. Good luck !

If it makes you feel any better, I managed to kill 4 snails in less than 48 hours >.< A 2 gal hospital tank is fine, but I agree at least one plant from his normal tank is necessary for him to feel safe.

Try a fake plant or other piece of decor, most plant cant survive salt or other meds
