Is 84F too warm???

I brought home a new betta, and have him in a 3G QT with a small heater. Normally the heater, which is not adjustable, stays between 78F-80F. It was at 79F last night. I just checked it, and the water temperature is 84F!.

I'm going to try and a get a small adjustable heater tomorrow. Is 84F too high, or will my new little guy be okay until I can replace the heater? He's acting fine...eating,.swimming around, flaring at his reflection.

Thanks!
Cate

84 is fine temporarily as long as he is acting okay.
The only time you should worry is if it gets to the high 80s or if your fish is acting differently :)

Oh, thank you! That makes me feel better! I'll check the temp and his behaviour in the morning, and then I'll have a new heater for him when I get home from work tomorrow afternoon!
