Why is Lebron bloated???

I was checking him before going to bed and he's bloated!!! What's wrong? Dropsy? Internal parasites?? HELP ME!!!
Tank- 3.5 gallon, heated, and cycled. I haven't fed him for a few days is this the problem?? I'm so worried now.. :( Please help me! He's a bit lethargic right now but it might be because it's night time. :/ Please help me!! The bloated area seems to be a bit pale and a little white... Please reply as soon as you can!! :(

Don't panic!!!

I've never had a betta 'bloat' but I have had them get big pale-looking bellies once in a while. Usually after eating their tankmates or the shrimp food - are you sure there was nothing like that in the tank?

Did you feed him before he got the belly? If he hasn't eaten in a few days, best to start with a small amount and build up to normal over a few days.

If he's still looking a bit belly-ish tomorrow, and doesn't poop after eating a pellet, you could try epsom salts for a few days to help him along.

Repeat: do not panic!

OK. I won't panic. 1-3 months ago, he ate ghost shrimp. I didn't know about the parasites they had so I just QTd for a day. :/ I'll start to feed him tomorrow. I still need to get a QT tank as well. :/

Well, I had to stop resting since I forgot to wash the dishes. Oops. Well, I checked on him and the paleness is gone. :) I'll check tomorrow and see how he's pulling through. But if he's still bloated a bit, I'll try the salt.

If it's any comfort, both my CTs get bloat very easily, and I can hardly feed them anything before it happens (compared to how much the others eat)... Not sure if that's a pattern, just something I've noticed. You might just have to feed less altogether.

Well, he's better now. :) The bloat just went off... I wonder what happened. I never fed him for a few days, (Cycle Reasons) and then this started. Yep. FD foods bloat Bettas easily. I only feed him 2 per day at the weekends and then I fast on Mondays. I alternate between pellets, flakes, and the FD worms.
