WOW He is just lovely! I would have bought him in a moment if I saw him. Sometimes less color is more

He is so pretty! :) In the future when I have more space I'd like to get a white one too! Or a cellophane.

Yuki is just really cute!

Terror is right, halfmoons don't look like that. Definitely a rose tail. You may have to do more modifications to the filter to make sure he doesn't tear his beautiful wedding dress.

I worry about the ones with the long long fins. Lack of swimming ability, not cool in my book. I don't like lazy fish. The ones with the long fins tend to get a bit lazy after a while.

He's gorgeous! May I ask which store you got him from? I'm also in Ottawa.

@MSG: I was wondering if he was a rosetail. My last betta was a HM, and he wasn't as "ruffley" as Yuki. I love the wedding dress comment! LOL

Yuki is in QT right now, and swims pretty fast. The filter on my 20G is baffled, and the intake has a sponge on it so it won't damage any fins. It never effected my HM...he swam just fine. Hopefully it will be the same for Yuki!

@fleetfish: I got him at Big Al's on Innes. They had just received a shipment that afternoon (Monday), and he was part of the shipment. They've started to carry what they call "Premium Bettas"...that's what they called him.
