Rip

Monday evening, my beautiful boy (avatar) lost a battle with what I believe was dropsy. By the time he went, he was just a shadow of himself, so in a way it was a blessing because he looked so miserable. It still broke my heart, though. I felt a little silly crying like that over a fish. At least my family was understanding. It's crazy how these guys can steal your heart.

Oh dear! He's beautiful... so sorry for your loss!

I had lost a young HM to dropsy too.

I'm very sorry for your loss. It's nice that your family was understanding because many others are not as considerate. There is no shame in mourning over the loss of a living creature in which you share a bond with.

Sorry for your loss don't feel silly for crying :) Heck I cried when I woke up to find my Albino Cory was blinded in the left eye by my Betta. Shows that your beloved Betta meant something to you.
