Drago finally flared!

I couldn't be a prouder betta mommy! My little man Drago has never flared for me before, and I was sort of starting to think he was just so docile he never would. He's been getting bigger since I got him, though, so I think maybe he was just young.

ANYWAY... Today I was playing with him, letting him follow my finger against the tank when I saw a little mirror laying nearby that I've used before to try to get him to flare. I thought it was worth another shot to see if he might flare for me. I pressed the mirror to the tank and he just sort of stared at it for a moment... and then flared up for the very first time!

Maybe now he'll build me a bubblenest, huh?

yay! From the pics you posted of him, I bet he was just fantastic when flared!

He was absolutely gorgeous! And especially with the way his fin has almost completely healed up from the little fin ripping incident. I wish I could get a picture, but I have to hold the mirror and I can't take the picture with one hand (not steady enough).

Some day, though... I'll get that picture!
