darn it Buddha!

So Buddha has been in his 2 gallon with Epsom salt treatment on going for a few days now.
He was being fed to help me see if he was pooping.

There was not an single piece in the tank yesterday when I cleaned it.....

And figuring he must have been better (I know, shame on me), I put decor in his tank since he will be staying there for now.
Well, he's midly bloated again.....
It's not that much, just what can be seen under a flashlight, but I'm baffled...

Buddha is such a cute name for a betta! :)

Do you soak his food before he eats it? My bettas used to get bloated all the time, but now I soak their food & have no problems. Also some bettas have problems with a lot of protein.

Thanks :)

And no, I never thought about that D:
Do I just leave the pellet in water and then give it to him?

I just leave the pellets in water in a little container for a few minutes, until they expand.

I use these mini pellets as well as betta flakes, but I alternate between the two.

I didn't want to fast him because I needed to see if he was pooping so I had to feed him

If you fast, the main point is for him to poo and let his digestive system clean out. You just have to fast until you see him poo. Done. :) Flakes are prone to bloat, how many do you feed. Like an exact amount?

Oops.....

And I might feed him, like, 1 half flake t most, but he will get pellets as his main diet
