Shredded fins getting worse

Ugh, Balthazar ripped his fin more. I don't have anything for him to shred his fins on

Tail Biting. Have a tank light? Enough decorations? HM or S/DeT? Usually caused by stress, boredom, and heavy finnage.

I think he is a SDeT and there is no lights but I have a snail and a few fake plants to entertain him. I have him in a gallon QT for the time being. As for the heavy finnage, he is a rosetail.

Yeah, but their biting it themselves. Maybe it hurts when it's even closer to the body.

Makes sense. I imagine it feels like cutting your nails and cut it too close to the skin

Ouch, that happened to me. >.< As long as he doesn't have fin rot, don't worry about it. Just clean water will help, no Aquarium Salt. So he doesn't have anything to go into?
