how long can I keep misquto larve befor it turns

Hi a friend had a 50 gal drum he seasons wood in and they had oddles of larvre my question is when do they turn to misquitos.I have about 5000 of them.

when they decide too. lol, they are a mix of different sizes and ages so I cant give you a good estimate
