Symptoms and Treatment

Does your fish have any history of being ill? he had fin rot when i got him, but that's it.
How old is your fish (approximately)? i'd say roughly a year.


I woke up this morning and checked on my fish, and he's just acting ... strange. He has his normal flaring attitude and /is/ eating. His floating doesn't affect his swimming, but he just. Swims like he's in a panic, maybe? Really quick and all over the place, when he does, and just carries himself to the top. he doesn't have a swollen belly and he's getting worse. :( it's like... he's being dragged to the surface, and is now laying /completely/ on his side

How long have you had him? If he is new, he could have been sick at the store

no, this is the only thing. :\ he's been perfectly fine... earlier he was even flaring..
