parents: how do your kids react to your fish?

my son is nine months old, so i think my bettas are a little too small for him to take notice of, but he will spend HOURS in front of my big 30gal goldfish tank, watching them and squealing, and tries to put his hand up to the glass to pet them when they swim by. we had a problem for a while with him standing up at the table they're on and hitting the glass with a toy when he got excited but he's gotten over that. i know that for his first birthday (nov 9) i'm gonna buy him a tank for his room, probably a UV tank with some glo-fish so he can have a nice low-light fish night light and i think he's gonna love it!

i think so! i'm pretty sure that goldfish tank was instrumental in his learning to pull himself up and stand so early....as soon as he was crawling, it was his favorite place in the whole house (except his bathtub, of course!)

Well I don't have any children but my niece is over so often she might as well be. She has her own fish tank here and is fascinated with mine. She wants to know about everything and I am constantly answering a neverending stream of questions about them.
